Foundation Chief Executive Michael Mail accompanied Rabbi Fine, son of Merthyr’s last Rabbi, and Adrian Jacobs, grandson of community leader and local solicitor Ben Hamilton, on a return visit to Merthyr.
There were many reminiscences as the trio visited the synagogue and then walked around Merthyr. A number of local people spoke to them about the impact of the Jewish community on the town, and how much they were looking forward to seeing the synagogue restored.
