Community Engagement Officer

The Foundation for Jewish Heritage is seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Community Engagement Officer to support the development of the Merthyr Tydfil Synagogue. The Project is supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, and see the Synagogue fully restored, and a new Welsh Jewish Heritage Centre established. The Community Engagement Officer will be at the forefront of our communications, engagement and activity planning with stakeholders and local communities in Merthyr Tydfil and the wider area. This is a contract position for up to 18 months, with the potential to extend through the project delivery phase.

Lead Architect and Multi-Disciplinary Design Team: Merthyr Tydfil Synagogue

The Foundation for Jewish Heritage is seeking proposals for the provision of a range of consultancy and design support services for the Merthyr Tydfil Synagogue Project, which will see the historic Grade II Synagogue fully restored and given new purpose as a new Welsh Jewish Heritage Centre. The multi-disciplinary team will include Conservation Architect (Lead Consultant), Principal Designer, Structural Engineer, Services Engineer and other services to satisfy planning and other statutory agencies. The appointed team will support the development of the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) Stage 2 application, and the subsequent delivery of the project on site.

Quantity Surveyor and Cost Consultancy Services: Merthyr Tydfil Synagogue

The Foundation for Jewish Heritage is seeking proposals from suitably qualified and experienced Quantity Surveyors for the provision of cost consultancy services for the Merthyr Tydfil Synagogue Project, which will see the historic Grade II Synagogue fully restored and given new purpose as a new Welsh Jewish Heritage Centre. The appointed consultant will support the development of the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) Stage 2 application, and the subsequent delivery of the project on site.
