What do you see?

We can see some trees and benches. We can also see a Star of David on a gate. Look closely, What do you see?

What do we know?

These are photographs of the Holocaust Remembrance Garden in Merthyr Tydfil. The garden was opened to commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day (HMD) on 27th January 2017. Established in 2000, Holocaust Memorial Day is an International Day of remembrance of those who were murdered in the Holocaust. The date of 27th of January is significant as that was the date of the liberation of the camp Auschwitz-Berkenau in 1945.

What do you wonder?

We might wonder how it might feel to sit in the garden? We also might wonder who was involved in opening the garden? What do you wonder?
